Unveiling the Complete Agenda: AutoSens Brussels

The agenda for September’s AutoSens conference in Brussels is now out. Vehicle Electronics is proud to partner with the event, which will run from September 19 to 21, 2017, at AutoWorld in Brussels.

This is the third AutoSens event, and it’s slated to draw over 400 technical experts and engineers. These professionals work in various fields, including cameras, lidar, radar, image processing, computer vision, in-car networking, testing and validation, and standards.

Over four days, attendees can participate in six workshops, vehicle demonstrations, and more than 60 keynote-style sessions. There will also be an exhibition area and eight industry awards. The conference is highly interactive, encouraging participants to engage in discussions, share ideas, solve problems, and be actively involved.

Key topics include advancements in camera technology, new applications, sensing beyond the visual spectrum, functional safety testing, sensor fusion, imaging standards, quality benchmarking, and image processing needs.

“AutoSens has built a strong community of dedicated automotive engineers and technologists,” said Robert Stead, the conference director. “This community is deeply committed to advancing autonomous vehicle technology. Our past events in Brussels and Detroit were the result of two years of hard work, and we’re thrilled with the outcomes. We’ve learned a lot and are excited to apply these lessons to future events. We have some thrilling new elements planned and look forward to the industry’s response.”

The event will be hosted in two iconic Brussels locations: AutoWorld for the main conference and exhibition, and The Atomium for the AutoSens Awards on September 20.

“AutoSens in Brussels will feature an international awards program, a gala dinner, extended learning through enhanced workshops, continuation of the IEEE P2020 working group activities, and vehicle demos showcasing the latest technology,” Stead added.

Confirmed speakers include Philipp Hoffmann from BMW, Heiko Hirschmueller from Roboception, Erich Ramschak from AVL, Markus Heimberger from Valeo, Chris Davies from Belron, Saskia de Craen from SWOV, Paul Jennings from the University of Warwick, Sheldon Russell from Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, Junmuk Lee from Hyundai Autron, and Erik Vinkhuyzen from the Nissan Research Center.

You can save €300 on Early Bird tickets if you register before June 30th. To promote gender equality in automotive engineering, the first ten women to register can get tickets for €100, with another ten available at €175.
