Rutronik Unveils New Line of Vishay Surface-Mount Rectifiers

Vishay Intertechnology has rolled out three new standard surface-mount rectifiers for automotive applications through Rutronik. These models, the SE20Nx (2A), SE30Nx (3A), and SE40Nx (4A), are designed to save space while maintaining high efficiency and can operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -55 to +175˚C.

The rectifiers come in the compact DFN3820A package, which measures just 3.8 by 2.0mm and is 0.88mm thick. Compared to components using the SMP package (DO-220AA) with the same footprint, the SE20Nx, SE30Nx, and SE40Nx offer a 12% lower profile and double the current-carrying capacity.

This impressive thermal performance is thanks to their optimized copper mass design and advanced die placement technology. These features enable the rectifiers to handle higher current ratings. They also provide excellent power line polarity protection and rail-to-rail protection, making them suitable for various commercial, industrial, and automotive uses.

The rectifiers are AEC-Q101 qualified, RoHS compliant, and free from halogens. They feature a typical reverse leakage current of less than 0.1μA and have a low forward voltage drop of up to 0.86V, which helps reduce power losses and boosts efficiency. Their ESD capability meets IEC 61000-4-2 standards for air discharge mode.

Additionally, these rectifiers are suitable for automatic assembly and comply with MSL-1, per J-STD-020, with an LF peak of +260˚C. They are versatile enough for various mobility applications, including automotive, agricultural equipment, and micro-mobility vehicles.
