Renesas Unveils Next-Gen GaN Power Transistors Following Groundbreaking Transphorm Partnership

Renesas Electronics has now acquired Transphorm, a company known for its GaN transistors.

“With the acquisition finalized, we’re excited to start providing GaN-based power products and reference designs right away,” said a representative from Renesas. “This move is a key part of our strategy to grow in the power business and meet the increasing demand for wide bandgap semiconductors.”
