Renesas Unveils Cutting-Edge GaN Power Transistors Following Strategic Transphorm Partnership

Renesas Electronics has wrapped up its purchase of GaN transistor manufacturer, Transphorm.

“Now that the acquisition is finalized, we’re excited to start providing GaN-based power products and reference designs to address the growing need for wide bandgap semiconductor products,” a Renesas spokesperson said. “Our investment in the power sector is a key element of Renesas’ overall strategy.”
