After a three-year legal battle concerning patent infringement claims, Ocado and the Norwegian robotics company AutoStore have decided to settle out of court.

While most details of the settlement are confidential, it has been revealed that AutoStore will pay Ocado £200 million in instalments. This payment is likely to compensate Ocado for the commercial use of certain patented technologies.
