McLaren Unleashes the Power of Automation Anywhere AI Bots

Starting next season, the McLaren Formula One team will integrate AI-powered software bots into their race operations, thanks to a partnership with Automation Anywhere, a leader in robotic process automation (RPA).

This multi-year partnership kicks off with the 2020 Formula One season and aims to incorporate Automation Anywhere’s advanced digital workforce into the competitive motorsport scene. These digital workers are designed to collaborate with human team members to handle repetitive and manual tasks, making McLaren’s business processes more efficient, reducing errors, and speeding up decision-making.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled to welcome Automation Anywhere into the McLaren Racing family and Formula One. To excel in this sport, we have to lead in technology and enable our team to focus on achieving small but crucial gains on the track. Automation Anywhere’s cutting-edge technology will help us do just that, and we’re eager to see where this partnership takes us in the upcoming seasons.”

Through this collaboration, Automation Anywhere’s branding will be featured on the MCL35 race car, the race suits of drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz, and the team’s race operation equipment.

Riadh Dridi, Chief Marketing Officer for Automation Anywhere, stated, “In the fast-paced world of McLaren Racing, where every second counts, we’re excited to support the team in making quicker decisions by automating various processes within their race operations.”

Founded by New Zealand racing driver Bruce McLaren in 1963, McLaren Racing has a storied history. The team made its Formula One debut in 1966 and has since secured 20 Formula One world championships, over 180 Grand Prix victories, the Le Mans 24 Hours on their first try, and three Indianapolis 500 wins.
