MarchantCain Reveals Revolutionary Rear-View Camera Pod at AES
MarchantCain Design, a company specializing in design and manufacturing, introduced a new rear-view camera pod at the Advanced Engineering Show in Birmingham this week. This innovative camera pod is meant to replace the traditional rear-view mirror. It is cleverly housed inside the car door and can be deployed whenever needed.
The new design offers several advantages for drivers. It can improve fuel efficiency and reduce aerodynamic drag. When it’s not in use, the camera pod retracts into the vehicle, freeing up extra space for parking.
Rob Marchant, the managing director at MarchantCain, highlighted the benefits by saying, “There’s a growing emphasis on enhancing fuel efficiency and the driving experience. Our latest concept aims to contribute significantly to this goal. The rear-view camera mirror pod is expertly designed to fit seamlessly within the car door, substantially reducing drag and wind noise, which in turn boosts fuel efficiency.”
MarchantCain’s innovative designs have also caught the eye of several German car manufacturers, helping the company expand its presence in Germany over the past year.
Besides launching the camera pod, MarchantCain showcased other cutting-edge products. These included a lightweight window regulator produced with cost-effective tools, moving electrochromatic glass, and an active aerodynamic, electrically powered rear spoiler and air brake.
