Everlight Unveils State-of-the-Art Automotive LED Factory in Taiwan
Everlight Electronics, an LED company, has just opened a new factory in Taiwan dedicated to producing automotive components. This new facility, located in Miaoli Tongluo, represents an investment of over $300 million. The goal is to boost production capacity and meet the high-quality standards required for automotive products.
Everlight has been expanding its reach in the automotive sector since 2014, and now offers a range of products for both the interior and exterior of vehicles. These products are designed to resist sulphur and have passed rigorous tests for corrosive gases like H2S, SO2, CL2, and NO2. This reduces the chances of issues like brightness, color, voltage, or function failures that can affect LED products.
Since 2015, Everlight has been investing heavily in building this new factory. The facility is designed with both ergonomic and smart features, integrating human factor engineering and automation. The production and warehousing areas are clearly separated, and RFID technology is used for better process control. Each product is laser-engraved with a code before die bonding, ensuring it can be tracked throughout the production process.
With over 33 years of experience in the LED industry and more than a decade in the automotive LED market, Everlight has built a solid product line. Founded in 1983 in Taipei by chairman Robert Yeh, Everlight has risen to the top five in the competitive LED market. Today, the company employs over 6400 people worldwide, with operations in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Germany, and the USA.
