AutoSens in Detroit Unveils Packed Agenda
The AutoSens automotive sensor exhibition is gearing up to feature notable speakers from leading companies like Cadence, Intel, NVidia, and ST Microelectronics. This exciting event will take place in Detroit from May 22 to 25, 2017.

Detroit will host the first of two AutoSens shows this year, with the second one happening in Brussels from September 19 to 21. The Detroit event is expected to draw over 350 global technical experts and engineers working in fields such as cameras, lidar, radar, image processing, computer vision, in-car networking, and more.
Attendees can look forward to workshops, vehicle demonstrations, conference sessions, and an exhibition aimed at fostering collaboration and open discussions.
Sophie West, co-founder of the event organizer Sense Media Group, emphasized the importance of engagement and participation. “Our conferences are designed to not only address the challenges engineers face but also to provide a platform for solving them,” she said. “We encourage attendees to join the conversation, share ideas, and be part of the innovation journey.”
West described the events as a crucial gathering for sharing best practices and staying updated on the latest advancements in the industry. “AutoSens has created a strong community of dedicated automotive engineers and technologists who are passionate about advancing autonomous vehicle technology,” she added.
Supporting her, Robert Stead, conference director, reflected on the success of last year’s event in Brussels and expressed excitement for the upcoming shows. “We learned a lot and are applying those lessons to create even better events in 2017 and beyond. We have some really exciting plans and are eager to see how the industry responds.”
In 2017, AutoSens will feature an international awards program and gala dinner in Europe, extended learning workshops, continued IEEE P2020 working group activities, and live vehicle demonstrations showcasing the latest tech.
“The European event aims to return to Brussels, taking over two iconic venues in the city,” Stead added.
The detailed agenda for the Detroit event includes a collaborative track testing day on May 22, autonomous vehicle demonstrations and technical workshops on May 23, followed by conference days on May 24 and 25, with an evening reception at the Henry Ford Museum on the first conference day.
Experts in various fields such as robotics, computer vision, and automotive electronics have been invited to share their knowledge and recent projects, helping to shape the future of ADAS and autonomous vehicle technology.
