Mouser Teams Up with Dragon for an Electrifying Formula E Season Two

Mouser Electronics is teaming up with Jay Penske’s Dragon Racing team for the second season of the FIA Formula E, an all-electric car racing series that kicks off on October 24, 2015, in China.

Dragon Racing’s lineup includes some impressive talent. Loic Duval, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013, and European Formula Master Champion Jerome D’Ambrosio will be driving cars numbered six and seven, which will prominently feature Mouser branding. Their supplier partner, Molex, will also have its branding on the cars and team gear.

“We’re excited to have Mouser as our partner for season two,” said Jay Penske, the founder and owner of Dragon Racing. “Just as our technical team collaborates with our drivers to win races, Mouser partners with manufacturers to bring the latest products and technologies to their engineering clients, helping them get to market faster. Formula E is a great match.”

Formula E is unique because its cars run entirely on electric power. This racing series not only showcases the future of motorsports but also serves as a platform for research and development in electric vehicle technology, boosting interest in electric cars and promoting sustainability.

“Formula E is at the forefront of automotive racing technology,” commented Todd McAtee, vice president at Mouser Electronics. “We are thrilled to partner with Dragon Racing and support this cutting-edge sport, which is leading the way in advancing future automotive technologies. High-tech auto racing is an ideal platform to enhance awareness for both Mouser and our leading partner, Molex.”

In the first season of Formula E, Mouser teamed up with Molex and Vishay Intertechnology to sponsor the winning China Racing team. Mouser-backed driver Nelson Piquet Junior clinched the first-ever FIA Formula E championship after an exciting final race in the London ePrix on June 28, 2015.

The second season will start in Beijing and will feature ten more races on tracks around the globe.
