Vishay Capacitors: Top Performance in Extreme Conditions

Vishay Intertechnology has just launched two new series of miniature axial aluminum electrolytic capacitors specifically designed for automotive power supplies to improve smoothing, filtering, and buffering. These capacitors come in ten different sizes, ranging from 6.5x18mm to 21x38mm. The BC Components 125 ALS series can last up to 10,000 hours, while the 126 ALX series has a lifespan of up to 8,000 hours.

The 125 ALS capacitors can operate in temperatures from -40˚C to +105˚C, and the 126 ALX series can handle temperatures up to +125˚C. Thanks to their axial leads and slim profile, these capacitors offer design flexibility, and their high-temperature resilience and long life make them ideal for use in tough environments.

These capacitors are polarized aluminum electrolytic types with a non-solid electrolyte, making them perfect for use in the power supplies of automotive, industrial, and telecommunications equipment. They come in a cylindrical aluminum case with a blue insulating sleeve. The 126 ALX series offers capacitance values from 33 to 12,000µF, while the 125 ALS ranges from 47 to 18,000µF, both with a tolerance of ±20%.

They support rated voltages between 10 and 63V and ripple currents from 80 to 1860mA. Additionally, these RoHS-compliant capacitors are resistant to charge, discharge, vibration, and shock, ensuring reliable performance. For ease of use in automated assembly, they are available in taped versions for certain sizes.
