Renesas Electronics has officially acquired GaN transistor manufacturer, Transphorm.

“With the acquisition now finalized, we’re ready to start providing GaN-based power products and related reference designs right away,” stated a representative from Renesas. “Expanding our power business is a key part of our overall strategy.”
